Hmm, after my previous attempt at creating a banner and avatar it became a disaster, and I really did take your opinions into notice.

This time I used some random background and not just a large chunk of a picture and like you lot said, played around with the blending options etc.

The avatar (thanks to blanka's avatar hehehe) I nicked off one of the VIP users and edited my self in Flash and added my own random picture "NON-ANIMATED" ufcourse...

Well, I have no idea how to get my own V.I.P avatar like most the members have so I did this one my self by nicking it, sorry if I have to ask permission first.

But any way, honest opinions please as it will help me develop my signatures in the future to a more suitable standard.

Well your avatar is nice, the background in it is good...but the blue color around your name in your avatar makes it a bit hard to see. And your banner, well its ryu so its not too original..but the background is nice.

Thanks for the feedback..

I kinda liked the background as well...all I did was use a gradient tool in Photoshop and layer another background on top to give it that effect. The ryu' was simply done in the blending options.

I really ain't got a lot of pictures on my PC so I had to search for some, Ryu was one of the first characters I came across so used him.

Yeah, now that you mentioned it, my avatar is quite hard to read...I'll probably change that in my next sig & avatar.
