if BRAINIAC is a program, then it can easily be destroyed, even if it goes at light speed, which a program can't go over the speed of the computer itself !

first thing brainiacs would first have to do, is kill the program that kills UNKNOWN ILLEGAL PROGRAM that sentinels detects !

yeah, even if we go back to the source which is MASTER MOLD. and the ARMY BASE. we all know that even if brainiacs gets control of those base, some scientists can and will easily get rid of him ! you know why ? because deep down inside, brainiacs a weakling !

brainiacs gets CALEL in, he was allied with DARKSEED. darkseed came in, introduced his own virus and took over brainiac in an instant !

tell yourself that the sentinels works the same way, they probably will never have real inteliigence, but they sure have a good PROTECTION against SOFTWARE HACKING. which means they can easily detect any programs that isn't part of the original programming which brainiacs can't have access that fast. you why ? because all sentinels aren't connected to each others, they are sending messages to the HQ.

so really the tin can would be a lot powerfull compared to him. and as far as i know, brainiacs is so weak that everybody can easily kill him !

his robots are like easily destroyed, and his plans are always ruined very fast by the justice league, so seriously, so i ask you, is he the almighty brainiac you speak of ?

i say no, still i admit that he got a lot of ressources to go on, but have sentinel. so that's why i say they would be evenly match !

a program is a still a program, sentinel, like all computers can delete those programs. the only thing is... normally its a human who should do this manually, but sentinel has the power because it has an AI made for the purpose of being able to self protect and see what situation is best to achieve its goal !

so if the situation changes and brainiacs get in, sentinel willl just delete the new illegal program so it doesn't get in its main core ! not saying that its gonna work tho, but it sure won't be as easy as you say it will !

the sentinel can could self destruct itself if it sees no other choices, but its only a last time ressort. its not like sentinel would be as intelligent as to know that brainiacs is a all time villain that can take over computers, nor can it really decide his path in life. but it sure is intelligent enought to fight and know when its programming his in danger which it has been programmed to defend against !

that's why sentinels are known as MUTANT ASSASSIN, because they are hard as hell to kill !
that's also why after that master mold was destroyed, the government decided to keep the project but not as a giant size state like the original was. that's why we don't see much of sentinels in the series after master mold's destruction !
