Sfo ladder - I think i want to start one...

In other games LADDERS have worked fine and showed great fun for users. I was thinking maybe there could be a ladder, so I decided to start one.

For those of you who don't know what a ladder is, it works like this:

You challenge someone a set number of spaces above you, if you win you take their place and they move down once.

Rules:

1) You can challenge someone eight spaces above you, but no more than eight.
2) If they don't accept your challenge, you can challenge them after ONE hour if they are still there. Player must have a reason for not accepting a challenge.
3) If in any case a player doesn't accept a challenge a second time, you take their place unless both of you agree to play another time.
4) You can challenge someone ONCE per day.

NOTE: This is nothing like the high scores system, so spots will change fast.

This would probably do better in the Challenges and Tournaments section (In terms of how many people view this & for what reason).
You might want to get this moved or start a new topic there...

Sounds pretty neat, but how does it end? Or does it...

but i must ask a question, the ranking system we have, isn't already a ladder ?

you challenge people upper then you, you win you get ranks, while they lose some !

same concept for me !
oh well ranks as always sucked anyway...
play for fun dammit !

i like the score thats one thing we should NEVER change wins 2 losses and rank its all good.

the rank system that we have now it ok but i liked the old one better cause it was a win loss ratio instead of pts...but it would be nice to have a pt system like mentioned acouple months ago with the total hits and such but it's to much work for 1 person...

basically never take away the wins and losses ration...otherwise it would suck.
