ppl been complainin that akuma is too hard to beat and the recovery time during a fight against akuma...

well heres a strategy i used to beat akuma..

on character selection...let the opponent choose their character first...if they choose AKUMA...you choose cyc|ops.

during a game against AKUMA...u know if he wants to connect his shinkuu hadoken *in air of course*....he must jump and the shinkuu will hit u from an angle.

when ur oponent goes for the shinkuu hadoken *in air*....use Optic Blast: High *which is diagonal*...and akuma's shinkuu will cancel...keep doing Optic Blast: High *diagonal* and u will see his damage go down badly.....i tried it...it works

also if you raise your bar in level 1...u can use his super *Directional Optic Blast* and hit them on an diagonal angle going up...

post if this strategy work....also post any strategies u guys might have

also if your opponent picks akuma when you choose your guy pick hulk or juggernaut as your helper, you get less of them but they can hit him while he's in the air.

lol got a new strategy...

opponent chooses: Akuma
YOU choose: Chun Li

when akuma does his shinkuu hadoken *in air*....go right under him and do the Super Energy Blast....

it works awesome...just got a win from somebody and i did that

actually over using the block is way more effective then anything you can think of, for mw at least !


everytime i jump at them they just shoot me to prevent me from coming close, problem is i never hit when i jump i block, so even tho i get hit while blocking, i'm still going toward them until i reach the ground !

then the fun start, they try and catch some distance but as i follow them closely, they can't get a good shot at me and when they stop and shoot i usually hit them before they do !

as simple as that !
as long as you follow them too closely theny can't stop to shot you !

at least that,s my startegie, but you gotta have instinct for that to work cause ya gotta predict where you're opponent will jump and where he'll land ! so you can be there before them !

with ryu its hard, but akuma ASHURA SENKUU is great for it !
anyway, yeah anyone can beat anyone, after all they have all the same defense system, so it all depends on which startegie you take, i like turtling more cause the best defense can usually beat the best offense !

always being on th edefensive is good, but always being in the offensive make the fight too short and unpredictable, which is what we don't want to, as long as you know what happens, ya can always do something against it !

at least that's how i think !

hey yo...akuma doing three super hadoken *in air* one after the other is cheap as well....so until it gets tweeked, (and u know every character gets tweaked) cyc|ops would own akuma.. and anyways its a strategy i just popped yup in my head during the game..it worked really well...

i just do it three times as soon as akuma goes for its shinkuu....also there is directional optic blast which does a load of damage....

im not asking...*o go do it until the guy dies*..just 2-3 times and then start attacking him with other attacks like cyclone kik *which has worked well in my games*...

cyc|ops isnt as cheap as ppl think it is...ppl make him cheap...by using optic blast over and over again...which u will never catch me doing...
