Character limitations? - Which character(s) you want allowed?

Well hearing about tournaments and their character limitaions I got to thinking that there should be an option to only use certain characters(at least in the Project x Server). I'm not quite sure on this. Comments?

bunmi dont forget that you're still acting like a #### and the only reason you got to advanced member is by spamming like hell which is one of the many reasons that you got banned in the first place and will be one of the reasons for you're future banning if you dont change you're attitude...


anyway back on topic, it is a good idea to have that but t might be seen as a bit of a waste of time since you can just ask the person you're fighting not to use one of the characters and if you're hosting the game you can always just quit out back to the chat room if they still use that one, but remember this game still isn't that old and there are many things to come so that might be something tmy thinks about adding

doesnt sumin like dat already exist...umm..err the project x server is a tournament server that means all vips that enter there will fight without their vip perks..but u cant make ppl not use a certain char..but then again so many noob's...cyclopsing and $hit

Like you said MIG, people to tend to ignore that. If this were to be put, you could make sure that character is restricted. Sometimes people accidently pick the restricted character.

Unless you count saying which are restricted, then no there isn't. I'm aware that the Project X server is a tournament server which gives my idea more sense, seeing how some tournaments limit the chraracters. It sucks having a cheap Cyclops.

i don't like the idea for one single reason !
i kinda don't like tourneys that limit you to a defined char, cause if you are not skillfull with it... then you got a clear disadvantage on others !

example:
TWW from TarkanX... no restriction, you can change char when ever you want during the tourney !
that means it is based off on skills more then what the owners of the tourney thinks of the chars !

example:
PIP99 doesn't like SPIDERMAN, he thinks he is too cheap !
so if he would do a tourney he would surely restrict the char itself, and would disqualify everyone that takes him !

that would be giving an handicap to the person itself, and unless she had skill with other char as well... (like myself who tend to play all chars) then that person is doomed to lose whatever she does !

but in other tourney it would be good...
example:
the chunli's tourney !

anyway... too many users just think some characters are cheap and if you use them he says you are cheap reguardless of how you play with him ! so i say no, bad idea... it would be abused and would mainly give people less fun to play against peoples !

I think that it would be an awsome idea if we could limit characters in tourneys cus then we could make like a ryu tournament and some stupid person would pick wolverine instead.

ssj karma i got one thing to say.................ITS A BOUT DAMN TIME SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME!!!!!!!!! i mean why limit characters??? everyone has a different favorite that fits their style. thats like punishing them for having spiderman or evil ryu as a fav. thank god im a ryu user but i get pissed when i cant use evil ryu in tourneys. each character has their own strengths and weaknesses. evil ryu throws slower air fireballs but makes up with power. spiderman lacks power but makes up for it with speed. cyclops is a good long range person but his close range attacks arent that good. you just gotta know how to fight certain characters. im thinkin of hostin a tourney where any character is allowed.
