Victory Icon questions - Just what do they mean, anyway?

Hopefully, most of you have noticed that under your life gauge, you recieve victory icons after you win a match. You've probably also noticed that they vary. I was just curious as to exactly what they meant. Here are all the ones I've encountered so far:

A "V": Stands for Victory, probably. But why not get it all the time when you win?

An "L": I have no idea what this could be...

An "S": Sometimes I get this when I finish off my opponent with a Super. Does that have anything to do with this?

A really weird looking symbol: Confused. Let's just move on...

A Clock: Self-explanatory. You get that if you win a match by having more life at the end of the time limit...

A gold medal-looking thing: Where'd this come from? I'm at a loss here...

If a mod could reply to this, I'd really appreciate it. It's not important, but after getting the Gold Medal-Looking Thing, I had to ask. Thanks!

L = Lag
Rope = Helper
Gold Medal = Person Left or cheap

yeah ive seen a few weird ones!

Cheese wedge=Ya Fire Balled the entire match,or some thing cheesy like that.
Cherries=hmmm..Great Match i guess
Clock=Time ran out
Rope=Helper'd your opponent to death,or ya held your opponent in the corner and beat him senseless.(im still unsure about this one,you choose)
"V"=victory..t'was a fair match
"S"=ya ended the match in a super move
"L"=ya wouldnt have won the match if lagg wasnt in your favor.

The Cheese means you killed the person while they were blocking.

The lasso did confuse me at first, seeing as you can't throw in the game.

It's a nifty little thing, isn't it? I also got a "P" once, since I got a perfect, but anyone can get a perfect in Practice mode, right?

But, I've never seen cherries before...
