My head is about to explode...seriously
Bandwidth has nothing to do with it, and yet the lag continues?
If the packets are so small and bandwidth and connection have nothing to do with it, why does the lag persist with such force?

The 2 DO NOT add up...somewhere a bottleneck is being created that is causing that lag, and I can guarantee that its not the processing power of my comp thats keeping those 100bytes from being displayed. So its safe to say its not a graphics coding problem from my end.

Futhermore...why do I experience less lag when playing other broadband users?

Again...the two do not add up.

Someone please explain what is causing the lag...because as sherlock holmes once said...if you elimate the possible, then what you have left (no matter how improbable), is the impossible

And isn't the word lag by its very nature an implecation that your internet connection is involved?

If its not "lag"...then would ppl please stop using that word to describe the games problems.

And one last question for you Lordcyris...If connection has nothing to do with, and bandwidth is irrelevant, THEN WHY DID YOU SAY YOU HAD AN ADVANTAGE WHEN YOU HAD CABLE?

And then ppl (Lorcyris ) wonder why im confused about the game, this shit isn't making any sense...one minute guys are all over the connection advantage, and the next their telling me it has nothing to do with it...
will someone please pick a team and stick with, so I can understand what the #### is going on

ok lets start with lag
in this case the lag u speak of isnt connection
its distance
like tmy said a guy in china with dsl fighting a guy in the states with dsl is the same as 2 56kers fighting
the lag ur talking about and i notice that is being experianced is distance the farther u are form someone the farther the packets must go so it make ping higher

and when i said i had an advantage i was speaking of a
different game the usual online games like rainbowsix and counterstrike and so on.. those games dont slow down of lose sync the game keeps going and if u have a ping of 40 and someone has a ping of 197 the guys with 40 ping will see the other guy first if they turned the same corner at the same time..
i hope this helps

All it does is raise more questions..

If distance is the case, then why do I experiene lag when playing friends of mine who are basically a block from me and have the same service provider that I do?

The only diff in our connection is that hes 56k and im DSL. And the lag with him is the same as the lag with you.

Like I said...it does not add up. I have friends who live near me with all different connections, and service providers (DSL, Dial-Up, and Cable), and I experiense different variations of gameplay with each one, when they are all a 5 min drive from me.

and yes I know it goes to the service provider first, then to me. But still their central offices are close to where I live. And how about my friends who have the same service provider, and connection I do...I shouldn't see any lag against them

By what you're saying the game should run smooth as silk against them, and although its the best Ive seen, its far from perfect.

Once again...not adding up for me

Forget it...It's obvious this idea is going nowhere.

I've got another question for TMyApp in the bugs forum though.
