Banner? - Wont show?

Why wont my banner show and y does the X come up instead? I put the [.img] and [./img] but it still wont show and the X still comes up how can i fix this?!?! :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire:

b.t.w. the .'s are so the text doesnt show up as an img

wont work with my avatar either
