People's pov vs my pov - Read it, don't flame !

a lot of people seems to think i never played the games, and that i never really knew what i was talking about while arguing about the different discussion !

but i will just say that my POV (Point Of View) is just different then theirs ! that's normal after all, we all see different things and we don't interpret things all the same ways !

i will give you an example of people's that argu with me statistically...

EXAMPLE:
- in a recent poll, we found out that on 500 different people, 250 of them actually use ryu to play against other players !

YOU STATS people...
- its normal, ryu is a top tier and is actually one of the most balanced characters in game !

MYSELF
- its normal, ryu is the most oved characters for his style of fighting and his good looking posture !

see ?
we don'T see it the same way !
what i'm saying, is that statistics can show everything we want them to show !
they are nothing more then letters and numbers writen in black ink on white paper !
when in front of the controllers, its not your statistics that plays, its you, the human being, behind the gamepad !

what virus as said in the tier discussion, its true !

i have played a lot of fighting games with a lot of players, all played differently and having very different skills... only one thing came out of the lot, that was that the human emotions, their feelings toward their upcoming victories, their mistakes during the match, all those makes the winner or the loser. don't tell me that some don't do mistakes during matches, the human being never is perfect and we all do. it can happen that during a match the player was perfect, but never will it happen twice in a row !

as for XMVSF, who seems to think i know nothing and that combos are everything in this game.
let me give you that simple example that proves that combos are bad !

KILLER INSTINCT !
have you ever played that game ? it was one of the first game to actually have a good combo system !
what happenned in the arcades ?
BLOCK, COMBO TRYING, BLOCK, COMBO TRYING, BLOCK, COMBO TRYING, oops it started and nothing can be done to stop him from comboing except a combo breaker !

what i'm saying is that infinites are nothing, if th eopponent always blocks the first few hits ! so why would the combo's be any good if you cannot even start them off ?

anyway... lets not starts any debate in here, it was not the was i meant...

In my POV, no... it's a real waste of everyone's time. If you really want to keep believing that Ryu sucks, then why the hell should anyone else care? On the exact opposite hand, if you think Ryu is better then any other character... why would anyone else give a damn?

This long ass debate that's been dragging on about tiers is beyond me. I believe they exist, and that's all that matters to me. The hell with what anyone else thinks, I don't care, and they shouldn't care either.

Because u have just stated that you base all of you knowledge about combo systems and everything that you post off of a game that has NO RELATION to this game at all. Killer instinct wasnt even made by capcom, atleast I dont think so, but even if it was that game is NOTHING like this one. So basically what your telling me is that you are basing all our your "there r no tiers", "combos are bad", "infinites are bad", "hadukens are bad" statements from Killer Instinct? Killer Instinct, a game which is NOTHING like this one. If you are basing all your posts off of killer instinct then you owe everyone an a apology for wasting their time replying to your posts that dont make any sense. Why would you base all your posts from a game that is nothing like this one? Combo's might have been bad in killer nistinct but not is the "vs" series game. Combos are the basis in all the "vs" series games. So I am forced again to ask you, have you ever played any of the "vs" series games? And I know i skip from one thing to another but I dont care, you dont have to read it so dont ####### complain.

yes i do have played all 4 VS games !

who cares if CAPCOM games have different combo system or not, the basis of a combo system consist of giving multiple hits by "connecting" all of them "one-after-the-other". so no need to know if its diferent or not !

my example is all clean and is reliable and is actually relevant !
if you didn't notice, how many times in any of the VS games have you seen someone starting a combo and doing it till the end when the "very first hit as been blocked" ?

that was my point all along, so what is combo good for, if both of the opponent are always blocking the first few hits !

that point is the basis of the combo system ! that's why INFINITES are good only if the opponent doesn't block anything ! or else infinites would be cheap as well !

EXAMPLE:
the guy does an infinite... you block and cannot do anything else, and since there is block damage, then that means you're doomed ! so what what can you do except letting go the keys and hoping this will end fast so you can start the next round ?

PUSH BLOCKS you say ?
why are they good for ?
how many times have you ever seen that moves being used ?
i saw a lot of tournament FINALS on VIDEO... most of the times, that simple move isn't even used !

so again, have you ever heard of the definition of a combo ?
