Was this the last episode of cowboy bebop? - Can someone please tell me?

on adult swim at exactly 1:23 am on thursday 4/11 (yesterday) Spike of Cowboy Bebop died. I figure that this is the last episode of cowboy bebop, a great anime series. can someone tell me if it was the last episode of cowboy bebop? if so, are there going to be more episodes of cowboy bebop? or was that the last episode. it was sad ya know, if you watched cowboy bebop alot, to see spike die. i mean,he completed what he set out to do, why did they have to make him die when he was so close to getting home? whhhhy!!!!!!! whhhhhhhhyy!!!!!!!!! *erhem*

here is some more information in case you know what the last episode is but you dont know the episode i am talking about.

name- The Real Folk Blues (part 2 of 2)
session# 26

summary- spike convinces julia to escape with him. but vicious has seized control of the syndicate and is on their trail. pursuid by their former friend, will spike and julia live happily ever after?
(that episode was the best episode i have ever seen of cowboy bebop,too.)

that episode of cowboy bebop was pretty cool too. he blew up 3/4 of this building with only alittle help from shin (who dies too) then he kills this guy with light light bluish/ white hair. then he is walking down the steps to the road, police are everywhere. spike stops, then points his finger at them in the gun shape, and says," bam,bam" then he colapses, and dies.

if you saw that episode (and watched the credits) you recal jet visiting this indian dude that says everyone has a star, and spike's has fallen, i dreampt it. well at the end of the credits, it shows this big group pf stars, if you watch closly, the very middle one, is slowly fading away, then, it dissapeares....


so can someone tell me if this was the last episode of cowboy bebop or are there more to come?

The series did end rather definitively.

Spike staggers out of the church, bloodied and battle worn from his fight with Savage. He weakly points 2 fingers at some Syndicate Gaurd members. Then quitely utters his last words, "Bang.", then collapse on the stairs...*in fades golden light from above and a sad melody*

I watched the entire series like 3 times....and as near as i can tell..Spike and Julia are both dead..so is Savage...Ein and Eddy both ran off to continue life else where...Faye discovered her true identity/history and was aleaved of all her debt then returned to stay with Jett...Jett discoverd that he actualy did like dogs, and i can only assume he and Faye continued the bounty hunting trade together. ( it's been about 1 year since i've seen the series...but i do have the last episode on tape. )

At the end of every episode they always give you a narrative prelude to the next episode.
At the end of episode #25. Spike, Jett, and Faye are all doing the prelude to #26.
Spike is doing the actual naration to the prelude..Jett and Faye are babbling what sounds like incoherent thoughts in the background....Neither Jett nor Faye aknowledge Spikes narration...almost as though he is not there.
If you listen very very carefully...and have already watched #26...Jett and Faye are babbling about events that took place in episode #26....almost as though they had already happened, and they are reflecting on the events that passed....kinda creepy actualy.
and there was no ending narrative at the end of episode #26, rather a very very long ending credits and the full version of the theme song.

Has the series ended?
I can not say for sure...But I loved the series, and would like to see more..but judging by the way the Real Folks Blues ended...i dont think there will be anymore...and if there was...it just wouldnt be the same.

I'll watch it again some time soon to realy refresh my memory though.

thanks. now i have ordered the entire series of cowboy bebop on dvd for just 26.99!!! oh, and did anyone know that the cowboy bebop movie knockin on heavins door is out right now in selet states? (darn, its not in mine) :angryfire:
