I don't understand the people who disdain marriages of any type. Love is love: whether it is between men, women, or a man and a woman is their decision. To push them away from that, is to be cruel, rude, and dispicable.
To go along with the Christian Bible in these moments, you are not supposed to marry to the same gender. But people have their own minds now. People have begun to realize things that they could not realize a long time ago. It's not fair to tell them they're wrong just because some book with gold tipped pages that came from ancient scripts tells you that it is wrong. If you bring religion into this, please, remember that there are millions of people out there with different religions, many of which have no mention about this kind of thing. You can't go up to them and be against them because of your religion, as I am sure you should knowby now.
I myself am pushing for those rights: People deserve a chance to love who they want to love. If you believe in "true love", you should not be against this at all, lest your belief be tested by your prejudice.

edit: You don't need to be of a religion to get married. If I recall, this was all part of the marriage thread. If you want to get married, you can get married without going to an actual church, or without going through a huge ceremony that takes hours and hours to complete. It is only the choice of the marrying couple that completes this. In fact, you can get married if your aethiest (spelled it wrong, most likely). You can go and have marriage in a church, and still remain aethiest. It's not like the world's gonna crumble if someone gets married in a church and they don't believe in the bible, or for that matter, if they just don't believe in the bible.

Well, comma most ppl when they are truly in love they will want to show it by marrying you...and usally when a girl wants to settle down she might want to marry you...so to avoid this you might have to go in and out of relationships avoiding it...and i recommend you stay away from marriages because when you marry anyone in any religon but you don't belive in it then i call it a fake marriage...ur wife might of been dressed up and you might of been in a tux and there might of been a priest but if you don't believe in the religion then to me the wedding is fake...I hope you got what i was saying

Roll in the major religions it is wrong....Christianity, Judaism, and Islam...And the wedding are taking place in Masschucetts in Christian Churches....therefore wrong according to the Bible and if you don't believe in the Bible then screw ur marriage cuz it's fake....

No! I resent that last remark! No marriage can be fake, unless it's meant to be an act. I don't care what your "beliefs" are, but don't you ever say something like that just because your religion says it to be so. Only an absolute fool would say that to everyone and try to make it true.
And if god loves us all, then why should he care? Huh? Tell me why. And try not to say something simple and prejudiced, like "because the bible says so". Why say this? Because not everyone believes in the bible, and you should know that generalizing only the people that exist in a type of relation (like you just did) leaves out the rest of the people.

I don't think you read it properly or maybe i stated it wrong...I'm saying that if you get married in any of the religions above then it is wrong because in the Torah, Bible, and Quran then what you are doing is wrong although you may have the marriage papers it will be fake...in the eyes of God as stated in the Quran because every other major religous book came off it. But if you get married under some other religion then i don't care...

In short if you get married in a church, synagogue, Mosque then to me it is fake....

And all I am saying, Elena, is that I could care less whether if it is wrong to those religions. I am saying, that a marriage is a marriage, no matter who or what is involved. There is no such thing as a fake marriage. As far as wrong marriages are concerned, the only wrong marriages, are marriages not based upon love. Love is the eternal bond, and the ultimate marriage.

But marriage has everything to do with religon as much as it does with love...you can't go around saying ur married....but if you have no papers or have a priest to back you up ur still stuck with the Ms.

but i see what you mean about the love part.....if they truly love each other they can get married in any other church but the churches i mentioned
