I have a very good question for every person... - I want answers....now!

Ok.. at 12:35 pm today, I was calmly drinking some nice Cherry tea, while waiting for Viper to get back from chasing a UPS truck. I was talking to some people while waiting, when one person I was talking to gave a very interesting message.
"I HATE when niggas leave during the game."
This came from a black person. Now I want some good answers, and I want them now.
Why do black people call themselves that? ; Because I am definitely certain that your ancestors (and my own as well) did not spend over two hundred years fighting for the rights that you have today, just for you to call each other such a bad name that destroyed so many lives and minds in the past. Do you think it is cute? Funny? Cool? Well, let's be honest and blunt here.

how about taking power away from the white people, the power of the word from them and the power to put them down with it and to use it for their own shtuff. well its just a guess, from what ive learned from my frienz

Ive heard many people use this word, sometimes even directed at a causacian man. I dont think its used by these people in a way of verbal abuse, more like an over-used nickname.

Many small people use this word to act "Gangsta" like their favourite rappers : 50 cent....exc....

im probably wrong but thats my view on the word.

its kool thing to say Roll. For u see the term we find offence to our race is the word "Nigger" Which means ignorant black person. Negro is another word to describe someone of the dark skin race, so its not just meaning black's.

Now "homie" is the slang word we use like pip said. I even have a greek/white friend who says it but in a kool way. I even call someone who aint black that. "yo look at that homie right thurr" I might say some mess like that. But you know its the word Nigger which is not nice to say.

lol and no Ryu we dont say it to be Gangsta.

Look.. While that may be true... it doesn't seem very funny at all. Or... Cool. It's degrading..and somewhat cruel to yourselves.. and I'm just going to have to say this now:

Roll i hope u found the answer to your question because i don't think its a good idea to let this topic continue!!!! Why?? Some people might find it offensive because u never know they might be someone who is gangasta.......and get offended because they don't say homie in a bad way but as a way of saying hi. its just a WORD and im not trying to be mean but attitudes like that give it such a negative connotation. my bf was raised by "homies" and he n his homies always call each other this n that. its part of a modern culture that will not change. they give a positive connotation to a word that otherwise could be considered insulting. and anywho, its a good way to rhyme in rap lol.
