When I used to lift weights in high school, we'd get in there and someone would either throw on a rock CD, or turn to a good rock station. Once a few good rock songs would come on, everyone would be pumped up. For me, if I hear a good guitar riff, I'm good to go. I'm pumped up. My adrenaline is going. I find that I have more weightlifting endurance while listenint to some good rock. Then some white boy assclown wannabe wearing FUBU runs over and throws on a rap CD. The effects are almost immediate. Everyone slows down. Gets more sluggish. We tire out faster. The repetitive beat just knocks ppl out. Another example
Look that is just u, u may get pumped up by rock and not rap
put it is not like that on everyone. I know tons of raps songs that get ppl crunked up. And that whole rock, and hearing a good guitar riff gives u a Boost in strength LOL whatever :laughlong:

Rock, on the other hand, is more alive. You can't beat the feeling you get when your favorite song comes on. Rock lyrics don't sound like they were made up spur-of-the-moment as they were recording the song. They don't talk about getting drunk and toking up blunts and fcuking bitches all day long. They have stories or themes or REAL messages behind them, and they're not what I just said above.
Ounce again we dont rap about drugs and hoe's 24/7. And whats this? U dont believe anyone in this forum can get a alive feeling out of rap? Rappers taek the time to sit and write things down.

They don't make their own MUSIC. The background music is mostly synthesized, with drums. The beat is repetitive. I've analyzed a bunch of rap songs. Throughout the ENTIRE songs, it's the same beat over and over and over again. Many times it's a single pound of the bass drum over and over. It's so repetitive, it's boring. Rap makes me tired, in all seriousness. If I want to fall asleep, I'll listen to rap, because the boring repetitiveness just knocks me out.
Not true, almost every rock and rap song has drum beat over and over in a song. Rappers make own music lol, No need they can create sounds without guitars. I find the same instruments boring. So I like the fact how they just take a lil of this and that to make somthing new. And about drums go look at a black college marching show band nuff said.

for the most part you can't even tell what the hell they're saying.
Know adays I see most rappers have slowed down in speed so i can hear the lyrics just fine. Now as for rock all the loud guitars I see why some of them have to scream in teh mike. Rappers have more control of thier music in vloume then rock.

Then some ppl are like "oh, well you can't dance to rock. Rap is better for dancing." Screw dancing. Dancing is mad gay.
.......U cant dance is what I take it. And if you or anyone else is in highschool and u go to a pep rally notice what kind of music they play. Special when the cheerleaders perfrom. Mostly rap not rock and most of the ppl in teh stands might know the lyircs and sing it out loud.
