the browser is using a cache.
cache = part of your hard drive where specific data are kept
everytime you go on a web page, the browser just put tha page into cache (harddrive) where he can find it for the next time you'll come back. that include everything, from the SHOCKWAVE games to AVI movies passing by simple HTML and COMPLEXE JAVA programming.
once you come back on that page.
the browser do a check to see if the page in the cache is exactly the same. if it is, then it is loaded from the cache, not from the web site.
now, there is an option in IE that says this...
- RELOAD CACHE ONLY ON UPDATE
- ALWAYS RELOAD CACHE
if the second one is checked, then your thing is true.
but if you check the first one, then it will never download the game again, except if an update has been made.
now, we already talked with tmyapp about this and he confirmed what i am saying !
so your 8mb is down the drain only if the person checked the second option !
