well, some might say the 200k intro we have now isn't worth it... or extra 100+k to make SURE that Logan is NOT missing any of his 200+ frames
we can prob save another 200k if all the sound effects are gone, we can just leave a couple of hit sounds and "haduken" in there... replace the background with just "black", and get rid of the helper intro's as well as replace em with 1-3 frame sprites that just fly across the screen...
there... the game is now 50% the size it is now (around 1.3 megs or so)
but.. what fun would that be ?? :biggrin:
when a newbie comes a long, and they see the game for the 1st time... the first thing that hits them is the intro... if they think that it's "cool", it will prob give them more reasons to try and try again and find that one person who is not behind a firewall (or so it seems these days) just to play the game...
then again, i might be wrong :biggrin:
