Roll: Lol... maybe one day they'll start listening to me...

princevegetam: Well, actually I was directing my posts to comments that are EXACTLY like that one. Your whole idea is to get rid of the guys you don't see posting on the forum much. Why? Because you really don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

Let me enlighten you on the subject...

- A little while ago, Quass and Zing79 were planning to host the "other, better" downloadable version at vgmfusion. I have not been aware of the cancellation of this, so I assume they're still planning to do it (eventually).

- Lordcyris has a family, a job, and he's busy as hell. He drops in every now and then and does what he can, but he DOES try to help the community to the best of limited time. (Remember SOF, or even that msg at the bottom of TIB?)

- Warmor... I don't know what's going on with him. Supposedly he's "working" on his comics... either that or he's just a lazy bastard

- 2000warrior: Still waiting to regain ftp acess to Senshuk so he can review the SET, get to work on "updating" the present tournaments section, releasing that "new" feature in Senshuk whenever the next DWX Chronicle is release (or something along those lines), as well as make an Onslaught bio (one day)... and still comes by the forum on a semi-frequent basis.

TMyApp/leftyfb: You KNOW what they're doing.

What I'm trying to say here is... ALL the mods do something outside of the game that "helps out" with the community besides just moderating the forum.

Everyone else on this whole subject of mods:

Why is it such a difficult concept to grasp that the answer to the forum problem is NOT more mods. I know a lot say "we just need more active mods," but bare with me and look at the past mods for a moment...

- ewalk: First mod, he got it when he was hosting RDB (Ryu's Drunken Brawl), back in late Aug-early Oct. He was easily one of the most active and mature members of the forum. But then guess what happened? He got bored with moderating... and it became more work then fun. So he just quit comming.

- Lordcyris: Got it right after he won Necro2k1's tournament. Another very active member of the forum, and easily respected by all the members. But (I believe) his computer broke, and even after he got it fixed, he was rarely seen on the forum (except for the occasional weeks where mods/vets "try" to make returns). It happens to everyone... you get tired of the "n00bism" and it becomes more work then anything.

- Zing79: He got his early December, after hosting the acclaimed TOC I, with the promise of TOC II, and probabaly had told TMyApp about it by then. And for a month or so... it worked great. He was ever the active mod, and cleaned up the forum. And then he must have gotten tired of the n00bism as all mods do... and just decided to "move on" to vgmfusion.

- Quass: Not sure exactly when Quass became a mod... I think it was April-May. But anyways, he was well on his way to vgmfusion at the time, and only "actively" moderated for about a week after that.

- Warmor: I think Warmor became a mod in June... right around Project Z. But what happened to him? Not really sure, but notice that his activity dropped shortly after he became a mod?

- 2000warrior: I know when this guy became a mod... Some time in August-September. And, he'd been an active poster for months... and was becoming fairly respected at it too. But being a mod took its toll on even him, and like all his predecessors, began having a "more busy" schedule, and just not wanting to deal with the n00bism of the forum after only about a month.

I know some of you will still think "oh, that'll never happen to me", but it will. I never thought I'd get bored of this forum... but you know what? It happens to everybody.

The answer to this is NOT just replacing old mods with new, "fresh" mods, it's getting these old guys off their lazy asses and back onto the forum.

And I would urge furthur discussion on this to be made in a SEPERATE topic. I don't want to start deleting your replys but it could happen if everyone keeps jumping on TMy and lefty's backs about this.
