Vegetam and Yankees, it's not all about the power. You can't simply be a ruthless dictator with mod powers, no sir-ee. You still have to be your good-old self, but with a little more responsibility. For example, you can't just go around banning ppl and deleting topics that you don't like. I already had a talk with Lefty on AIM yesterday, and he told me how he wants the forum to be, and I can now understand his reasoning.

You see, the stupid new-bies that post here are the majority of the ppl that play the game. The list of active vets on this forum is growing very thin. Therefore, if we ban the stupid new-bies like Juggernaut and stjames and ajtimbs that piss us off, they're not going to come back. Now, I know that may be a good thing, but if we do that to all the stupid new-bies, the forum will be pretty much barren except for the 20-30 ppl that post here regularly and without spam. We'll lose much of our fan following.

Lefty said that he's in the forums every day, moderating and such, deleting/locking topics as he sees fit. I offered him some suggestions and opinions, and he said he'll think on them. However, the reason none of us (even the vets) have mod powers is because TMy doesn't trust any of us with mod powers, he openly said that. And if we can simply ignore these new-bies and their topics rather than flame them incessantly (I know, it will be hard for me to do too), then we can show TMy that we're more responsible than he thought, and may think again about giving someone else mod powers. And if you can't keep your mouth shut and ignore them, then don't FLAME them, try and use reason (like I'm trying to do with ajtimbs). TRY (and this is a big TRY) to reason with them.
