to all you people writing about sales tax... you're all wrong...

each state has a sales tax rate, and counties have their own set too, examples:

New York
State tax rate is 4%
City/County rates range from 3% to 4.5%
Shipping is Taxable

California
State rate is 6.25%
City/County rates range from 1% to 3%
shipping is not taxable

Texas
State tax rate is 6.25%
City, County and Local tax rates range from 1.5% to 3%.
Shipping is taxable

just wanted to give a couple examples, not the whole lot
