The lag i hate is i do tons of specials on my opponent and the opponent still wont die.
Ive said this before...."Dont do this!"
Standing in one spot doing the same move over and over again creates lag on your end of the game.
Although you may see your opponent getting hammered by your 1000 specials/supers...your actualy shooting into nothing.
"Usualy" what happens is your opponent gets hit with 1 or 2 of your attacks...Then blocks and avoids the rest,by jumping over you. Eventualy YOU will screw up the rythem of your attacks. This is when the 2 opponents sync. Thats when your opponent "lag teleports" behind you (he's actualy been behind you for some time doing the same thing you are, "spamming the keyboard" with attacks)
Oh yeah what SSJKarma said is true too.
Your best bet is to learn to interprit your opponts fighting style, with the character they chose to play (the most common is the,"back attack" tactics. Commonly found with Ryu, and Chun-li users) And fight accordingly. Anticipate that your opponet will jump behind you at some point and beat you in the back of the head.
Listen for the "super jump" sound. As soon as you here it. Rush,or back away from the location you are attacking from immeaditly. If you are slamming the keybaord with hadokens, optic blasts, low kicks, low punchs,etc.etc.etc. you may not hear this sound.
Learn to use the "true combos" of the game, and not the lag "lag combos". Lag combos usualy do not hit your opponent (unless they realy suck at blocking),where as the "true combos" are unblockable because you opponent is still "stunned". After preforming a "true 2-3 move combo". Interprit your opponets next move.(Ryu users uasualy use a fire ball,Chun-li will "triple jump" to you,Cyclops will "optic blast",Wolverine will rush you,Sentinel will projectile attack...depends on the player) Either back away, move in,or use your own move that has priority over what you think your opponent will do.
Lastly DONT HAMMER THE KEYBOARD! trying to shoot 3 fireballs ,optic blasts, sweeping kicks, etc etc etc, BEFORE the first animation has ended,is useless. Wait until the first animation is half way complete,THEN type your next command and USE DIVERSITY!
Doing the same move over and over again, can be easily avoided,or broken with a move of higher priority. (except for the occasional "cornering tactic")
Oh yeah...keeps your self in the center of the ring at all times when possible. The corner is NOT your friend.
