I really don't like calling them extreme sports, because, if you skateboard you would realize that people who do those things would like them considered a regular sport, (as in something to do that is fun). Labeling it extreme is just a stereotype because those activities weren't normal before.

Ex.
If football hadn't been invented until now, wouldn't you consider that more extreme than surfing or bmxing...
