you idiot, Dan was kicked out of the school because he wanted to kill Sagat, who killed his father. Dan combined his training of what his father tuaght him, and what he learned with Ryu and Akuma, and invented Saikyo. Dan defeated Sagat and opened his own dojo, which became the most popular dojo in the world.

but in the tv show dhaslim taught ryu the hadou-ken
