7? That qoute is from the near end of Genisis. It even says sons and sons of each person that lived in that time. When does it say that white people are superior to others?? Writers created The bible 30 years after the crussifixtion of Jesus. An was created the same continent. Where ther was Cities Like Jerusalem and Bethlehem
Well, as I said in the other religion thread before SSJ Karma got all bitchy and saiud "OMG U GUYS R TALKING ABOOT RELIGION ! DAT MEENS UR FLAMING ! CLOSED !", Jesus was not white, he was brown, if not black. If you have objections, i'd be happy to provide evidense, but if it's a common idea, then i'll save my breath.

But that also means that maybe the bible didn't mean everyone was white, but if you look at the TV, if you look at the movies or society in general, we think that jesus was white, marry was white, joseph was white, the angels are white and most of all, god himself is a big white man. Do black people think the same? Except for a few renegade idealists, yes! Even in latin america, asia and africa, where the majority of catholics live, they all worship the same white religous figures.

[quote[Nah, I dont have doubts. Besides some may be theory or not. At School (Lynn Middle Shcool) We opend a book about Social Studies and various Events Like Ancient Mesapotamia. And others, I kept reading the dates and studying and various emperors of china and Rome. A story got to me, When jesus was teaching others. It was In a history book!! I dont know why they put religious content on a history book (Gilgamesh, Mahhamad) but of course There is still lots of things I need to learn.[/quote]

Because jesus was real. I'm one of the only non-believers who says yes, jesus was real, yes, mohammad was real, gilgamesh was real, and most other "profits" were real. If they did all the things they say they did is up to interpretation.

Jesus was real, he did teach people, and he did have followers. If he did walk on water, if he did rise from the dead, if he did feed the people with only a couple of loaves and some fish is all up to you. History stays out of religion, because they don't know it if it was real.

Plus, no one would take history sirously is it said "Yes, and then, jesus rose up from the grave OMG!" or something rediculous like that.

I like Science but others say its not right. Isn't there a way to worship god without Science? Its my choice if i choose to belive something or not regardless if its real or not real. You say that "just because it says things" doesn't mean its true, Its not diffrent from history books either.
That's true, but the only difference, is let's stack up which tends to be more "real"...

History/Science vs Religion.
1)
- History/Science has been perfected over thousands of years
- Christianity/Religion was done once, and never "tweaked" or "re-written".
2)
- History/Science is by most all people accepted, and by modern society accepted as fact.
- Christianity/Religion not only has other people saying it's not true, but we have people saying "it's not true, OUR religion is true"
3)
- History/Science has research and evidense to back up all they claim
- Christianity/Religion has nothing but heresey/stories.
4)
- History/Science is taught in school because it can help progress the world
- Christianity/Religion is taught in religous schools where they hit you and try to make you believe the same ol same ol.
5)
- History/Science has changed once the world has gotten smarter
- Christianity/Religion has stuck to the same ideas for thousands of years.

Now, i'm not saying what you believe is wrong. But when you think about it, we have to gain some common ideals in the world is we ever hope to someday finnaly end wars, and suffering, povery, ect.

If you think (and i'm not saying you do) "I'm going to heaven, he's going to hell", we begin thinking, "I'm going to heaven, he's going to hell... for a reason. I must be better than him." What does that lead to? Wars, murders, sins sins and more sins but wait! That don't matter, becuase you're going to heaven.

We try to justify our wrong doings by putting on a mask of religion. Can I steal this candy bar? Yeah, if I go to church and say my prayers. Yay, free candy. A non-believer thinkings "Should I steal this candy? Well, will I get caught?" Church-goers tend to think that by being religous, they're going to heaven.

Some people think that they are truly better thna other people because they think they have the right religion.
Tell me, what makes your religion right? What makes it better than judaism? Buddhism? Islam? Hinduism? They all have one thing in common, which is that they're all religions, and maybe except for buddhism, all think they're the right religion, and all the rest are wrong.

When this happens, again, what happens? The world gets torn appart and we all die. I shudder to think that there are some christians in this world who when sit next to a muslim, the first thing that runs threw their mind is "He's going to hell." Ask yourself, are you the right person to say this? Becuase people now days sure think they are. People like Jerry Falwell and others tihnk "Well, he believes in abortion, he's going to hell." Or "He's a muslim, he's going to hell." Or whatever else.

Truley ask yourself, would Jesus like you judging people? (And i'm not saying that to you, i'm just saying it in general.) There are very few christians or religious people in this world who follow a certain religion, and truley follow the ideals of that religion and not the details. Yes, maybe in the bible it said homosexuality is a sin. It also said love thy neighbor and turn the other cheeck. Which one it more important? Some people think it's the one that makes you feel supirior and others infirior.

You have to quit thinking of yourself as a member of your family. Even a member of your church. Hell, even las cruces isn't where you should be. Ask yourself, as a member of this world, what am I doing to keep it together? Are my ideas breaking it appart, or bringing it together?

"CREATION OF THE WORLD PROJECT
Life as we know it today is the result of evolutoion. But Darvin's theory doesn't explain how the earliest forms of life were created
www.leyeda.jlm.k12.il/proj/creation.bio.htm"
You mean how chemical reactions at the birth of this world created single celled orgnaisms which lived in the otions, reproduced (more like mitosisised) into multiple celled organisms, set forth on land and just keps evolving over billions of years to not only form millions of different kinds of animals but form human kind?

But I guess in the bible, it's much easier to understand. "God did it. All animals. Even humans. Shut up, quit thinking."

"THE BIG BANG THEORY"
The Big Bang Theory is the dominant scientific theory about the origin of the

Yes, it's a "theory", but that's only because you can't postulate a theory this radical. It goes against the church and as long as there is a huge amount of people who say otherwise, it won't be played.

The church also said the world was flat and the sun revolved around the earth, and that took thousands of years to finnaly disprove. Maybe the ideas on what and how the earth was formed are faulty?

But I guess "God did it. Shut up, quit thinking" must be some how more easier to understand and thus gets the short end of the stick. (Yes, i'm aware that phrase doesn't even fit here, but it's early in the morning. Shut up, quit thinking.)

The reason people start wars is because of people not religion. People think that one religion is better than the other. But in reality All religions are equal. The people who start wars about religion like Hitler, Is an Anti Christ.
Hitler didn't star a war based on religion, that would mean "my religion is better thna your religion" as a major concept. Hitler started a war based on facism. And he didn't like jews. Not because they're jews, and because their religion is wrong but because he said they're evil and unfit or something.

People who actually DID start a war based on religion are people like Pope Urban, who said to a speech to his people before the crusades, "Yes, Muslims are evil and hate christians. Kill them. God is on our side."

Is he an anti-christ? Or is he supposed to be the closest to god?

Again on the Aids. People Make bad choices. People start having sex with other people, then get AIDS. Its peoples choices if they want to have sex.
Since when is sex a bad thing? A huge popularity of americans, and the world (mostly africa) have aids, and i'm pretty sure it's not because they had sex with 1,000 people, but because they had sex with one person, which they probabloy loved, who was the wrong person to have sex with. If you got aids threw hugging, people wouldn't look down on a person with aids as if they were some sort of virus. (oh wait-) If it was hugging, it'd just be "you hugged the wrong person", but if it's sex, then you're some super horney animal.

And, sex isn't the only way to get aids. Doing drugs (I even know a christian guy who is all "high and mightey" and says gays will go to hell and don't deserved to be cured from the aids virus because they're gay, and HE USES HEROIN. Can you say hypocricy?) is also a prime way to get aids. Only if you inject a needle into your arm. Also, getting blood transfusions (when you need blood so someone donates it to you) is a good way to get aids. Even being born from an aids infected mother will give you aids.

Aids doesn't kill bad people, it kills all people. Maybe even you can get aids because you had sex with your girlfriend, or did a night of bad partying, got in a car crash and needed blood, or maybe even your mom has aids.

Again The Catholic Church Likes all People. The Church does not Judge people. God will be the one who judges you By the way you live life (good or bad). Same on women. But some other people take it seriously and start killing poeple for no reason.
The church doesn't judge people? Churchs are the main reason WHY people get judged? Remember Jerry Falwell? He says gays will go to hell ALL THE TIME. He's also a reverend. I'm pretty sure he judges people in his church, too.

If the church doesn't judge people, where are they getting the notion that so and so is evil? I don't think they all simultaniously thought about it themselves. Someone had to put that idea there.

I'm just saying that it's always "The christians vs some other people", and you can't say that the other people arn't getting judged, because they are. Even been to an anti-something ralley on the christian side? What signs to they hold up? "JEsus says your going to hell", "Repent, sinner!" "You're going to hell!"

Does the entire church go? No. Does the church itself somehow come to life and go? No. Do the majority of people who go to church feel this way? You better believe it.
