Just to bump this a bit... who the hell said 9/11 was in 1998 ?? I thought that was 2001 O_O
And for the list; I'd have to sayy SBYRD5 did a pretty good job. TuPac was good but he had his flaws when you read deep into his story. And Biggie's flows were more 'enjoyable'... although he had some hardcore songs, e.g with bone thugs... but overall his songs were more about enjoying oneself... that's why some give Pac an edge.
As for kanye and all the game, they're still "new" to be in the all time list. kanye has talent and the game has his flows... but they haven't made their print as renowned rappers yet.
Then there's the JayZ vs Nas thing... whoever says JayZ shouldn't be there is a bit off the top. I mean, it took me a while to respect JayZ too, but if anyone listens to the song blueprint 2 (his reply to Nas' ether) you'll know that JayZ is no joke. I mean...
Quote:
Can't y'all, see that he's fake, the rap version of TD jakes
Prophesizing on your CDs and tapes
Won't break you a crumb of the little bit that he makes
And this is with whom you want to place your faith?
That's quite nice if you ask me... and then there's the collaboration with Linkin park. The Collision course disc. That CD was commendable in my opinion. The Crossover was simply amazing.
And for good measure, let's not forget Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg really isn't half bad. If you notice all the songs with Dr. Dre that make it big time ?? He's the one that writes the lyrics while the doctor does the producing
