Ok. I'll tell you as best i can.

First off, if you have a firewall, you have to configure it so that it will allow incomning and outgoing communications through ur computer...your best bet...use the download version...When u 1st use it....some firewall protections will say that "this program" (i.e. SFO) is try to access a DNS server...and will ask you what action do you want to take...

you should chose something along the lines of "allow (or always allow) all connections from this program on all ports" so that all connections coming in and out of ur computer for sfo will work. After doing that, when you've lkogged in, go to Options, Click the "Network" tab, and press "i am behind a firewall or proxy server". When u click that, it will auto-check "old connection mode (for firewall users)" (or something close to that saying).

After saying that, there is more to determining how to host. If you have a router (a router is a device the will split an internet connections which will allow more than 1 computer to have internet access), then it is highly unlikely that you'll be able to host since alot of people who do host, have a direct connection to their interrnet, and not through a router. If the router you own can, try and map out the ports used in SFO which can allow pretty much all that SFO has to offer. Remember, usually people behind routers usually can NEVER host unless they get rid of it.

hope that helps.
