have you played any of the ones before it?

the story might seem weird if you haven't played the earlier ones, not to mention the battle system.

the system was the simplest in the first one so i'd recomend picking that up and moving your way through the series. if you only plan on getting one game, don't even touch mmbn5, you'll like mmbn3 much better.

but if your dead set on mmbn5 (which you should not really be) it won't matter which version you get, they are the same game with only sligth differences. the differences are bigger than they were before.

but you really only had a difference that made a huge change in gameplay on mmbn3 when one version had better chips but harder difficulty...
