Wow, I'm sick and tired of you VF saying how much America sucks. America may have it's flaws but there's freedom of speech. If it sucks so flipin' much then why don't you leave...you don't seem to do anything but complain like an ass. I dare you to leave to somewhere like Korea and say how much Korea sucks and see how long you live.

How hypocrtical of you to say how America is great because we have freedom of speech, then try to silence mine by trying to ship me off to some other country.

That's a bunch of bullpoop. America was based on the ideals that we have the write to say we're discontent, and not only do we have the opportunity to say it, but we should say. It's not based on narcessism, which is all we see now. Everywhere we turn it's a flag, or the president, or some national monument.

We're viewing America as the symbols that represent it, and not the ideals and meaning those symbols were founded for.

Wow, I read the Narrative of Frederick Douglass too and he doesn't complain he actually does something. He worked for the Underground Railroad. And when he got beat up by a bunch of white sailors he didn't just say "Aw, poo America sucks. I hate it. I'm going to my room and whine about it." No, he didn't. He did something about it...he was so inspirational Abe Lincoln noticed him. And he helped changed the nation.

He did something, yes. He tried to change it by what? Going on a shooting spree? No, he complained. He wrote editorials, made speeches, and most of all, SHOWED his discontent.

He helped change a nation, yeah, a fliped up one.

America has come (not came) a long way since then (not from there). And you only look at all the flaws and you do not see the long journey it has gone through. If you would like we go back a couple centuries back to slavery...America would truly suck then. Things take time if you are not willing to wait then do something about.

What's so great about America now? We've got a president we didn't vote for, we've got a war that we don't want, we've got police who are bashing your head in at the drop of a sign, we've got racial profiling like there's no tommarow, people getting their fundamental rights taken away ala logans run, and we've got the highest poverty rates since the '80s.

This isn't my America. Hell, it's not even Mexico.

As for the fireworks. Yeah it really does suck that some people only see it as "Ooo pretty fireworks" but that's mostly because they are ignorant. The bad thing about America is that we make every single holiday a commerical holiday...and people forget the true meanings of things.

Yeah, like freedom of speech. Or are you so "ignorant" you've forgot how to use it?

I'll give you a homework assignment.

Tell me one decade you think it truley fitting of "great", or celebration. One decade in American history you think is without flaw. How about one president? One president who didn't do anything to harm America. I'll make it even easier, one year. One year where America didn't flip over someone or something, and is truley deserving of the narcessism is exsudes.

America is the nation most full or itself in the entire world. It'd be fine is we could really pull it off, it'd be fine if we really are "the best".
