simple... he was fearing to be terminated if he had talked !
now he doesn'T care anymore... for he is 91 and is about to die from somehting anyway !
to be honest i don't really care if anything hapenned in history, for its past and th epast can only bring painfull memories and/or disasters !

i am conscious of the fact that the past is also forging our future for it is by having painfull memories and disasters that our future will proove better ! then again, looking at the past for too long has brought man-kind only disasters ! i don't thnk the watergate event was all that good, nor do i think anything realted to government is good in themselves ! everything is bad at some point or another !

Elena, your views on the family thing is good... but you gotta see it otherwise !
do you still mourn the lost of your grand-grand-grand-grand father ?
see it this way, at one moment or another we will lose a family member, yet this isn't a reason to actually care and stop living cause of it !
when my parents will die, i will probably mourn their death like a 2 year old baby... but after a few days i'll come around, for i will have no other choice but to live on.
same goes for any other family members i lost in the last 30 years.

so explain me why would it do anythiung to me emotionnnaly if i didn't knew th eguy itself ?
its actually better for me to not have known him or any of the people who died back 30 years ago. for it only would bring me back painfull memories of past events ! so in a case, i am with marve|911 on this one... i wasn't born yet... so i don't care for it !
