I never said debate threads become flames due to the debators, I'm well aware of how those can spiral out of control and by whom.

Deep respect has to be earned. Mutual respect, for everyone, I view as just common sense. I'll treat everyone equally, until they do something to lose respect, or like wise gain respect.

But this isn't any argument over if what Karma does is right or wrong. If you have an issue's with him, try talking to him in PM or email, but be clear and not to come off as offensive in anyway. Remember, it's how things come out, not what is being said. And the reason he puts a space before his !'s, he is French, and when they puncuate with a "!", they space it. Not sure if they all do, but a good bunch are in that habit.
