Um, I think I know what you are talking about.
Go to your control panel...then click on "Regoinal and Language Options." Then go to Language tab at the top then under Text services and input languages click "details." Another box should pop up and it should be under the setting tab...in there make sure the Installed Services says "US." Also make sure the "Default input language" says "English"...otherwise scroll down until you find "English."
