if the sun is directly in front of him...its 12 noon, then when he gets back its 6 pm, well he is in the car the whole time crossing canyonys and rivers..so my two guesses are Off Roading or Safari???....where is the man...hmm thats a tricky one cuz i cannot say grand canyon cuz you cannt got safariing there...hmm..
