Irrelevant: due to a bug, player 2 gets a random helper regardless (80% of the time).
If this bug were to be fixed so that both p1 and p2 could pick whoever they wanted, then I don't have a problem with the way things are now (although I still think it's BS that you can call out a helper in the middle of getting supered). If helpers are to be numbered, however, I vote for the following:
Psylocke: 2
What would half of you do if you didn't have Psylocke to break your opponent's supers? Learn how to block! Or super jump!
Blanka: 3
The ultimate super breaker (comes out super fast). He's not that powerful, however, so he's a half step below Psylocke.
Guile: 5
Average speed, can break a super, but if you are getting beat down in the corner, he'll jump out BEHIND your opponent, and his sonic boom will miss altogether. That sucks.
Shuma Goraith: 3
Almost as good as Psylocke, but seems to come out a bit slower.
Sentinal: 7
Sentinal is powerful, but will miss the target 2/3's of the time. Plus he's slow and you can see him coming from a mile away.
Spiral: infinite
.....
Venom: 7
THE slowest helper in the game. By the time he gets out there, the super is more than likely near completion. If you see him coming during normal gameplay, you have time to grab a snack and something to drink and still super jump out of his way.
Sakura: 4
Sakura is decent. She has a wide range of attack, and takes decent damage. She's a bit on the slow side, however, so she's a step below Shuma Goraith and Blanka.
I also have a suggestion for Spiral. When you call her out, I've noticed that she says "switch." However, you usually end up right in front of your opponent. If calling her out actually made you and your opponent switch places, that would be quite useful in a match. Just a thought.
