there is nothing wrong with the variable attack.
there are ways to beat it. you just have to have skill to do it
here are some ways: block button(sometimes), helper, or call your partner out, you will just stand there for a minute.
that will stall long enough for the variable to end and your partner will come out.
you just gotta try different techniques and see if they work.
