It isn't the US's responcibility to take care of other countries?

We've invaded country after country, INCLUDING IRAQ for the "saftey and well being of their people".

but when it comes to giving money for a tragedy, we are a little short.


I mean, look at this statistic:

US government aid to help Florida hurricane victims: $2.04 billion (as in $2,040,000,000
US government aid to help Aceh earthquake/tsunami victims: $35 million (as in $35,000,000)



That's a $2,005,000,000's for 119,883 less dead victims.
