island_chick: It's all about the "more programmes running, more lag recieving" rule that comes with using ur computer. Especially if the amount of memory you have in your computer isn't that much. You get an unreal amount of lag that way (when running multiple programmes... especially messengers)... so that's just the theory behind that

Bob_Marley4004: Being the host would mean that the amount of fights you get would be limited to those who are willing to join ur game. If everyone took that advice and wanted to host their own games... how many ppl would actually fight in street fighter online??

And when you join servers with more people, it does not hamper the game in anyway. At the specific time when you host a game to fight, you're creating a server for urself... i.e, your movements, packets of data sent and the likes isn't dependable on the amount of people trying to crash down Ferno's computer

Also, deframenting ur HD does nothing but help you open up programmes faster. As far as lag in SFO goes, they're not coherrent in anyway... and just don't think about closing programmes in ur task manager. Trust me, it's something you don't want to get into.

Finally, ur sound theory... it does reduce lag... but the game is less interesting that way

And to those of you who're complaining about lag, blah and blah, try finding another online multiplayer game that gives you the amount of options SFO gives

Frankly, the game's at a point where lag determines a bit of the outcome, but it doesn't control the game. If you're not a good fighter and you don't get the point that you're not fighting JUST ur opponent but lag and your opponent, then maybe you should starting learning how to play the game Street Fighter Online.

One of the earlier updates had an improved engine with less lag... and even I noticed it then (when I had no idea how SFO worked) ... so if you just sit there complaining about how your hits do not count, maybe you should start learning how to play the game over again
