sybrd, your gfx and BG examples dont work.

because, you have have a "borrowed ideal", because it is only an IDEAL. "borrowed material" is the hard pixels. ideals is just the theme of a banner.

example:

borrowed ideal: look at this ryu banner of mine!
borrowed ideal: cool ryu banner, i made a ryu banner too!

(see, borrowed IDEAL, not material)

borrowed materila: look at this ryu banenr of mine!
borrowed material: hey, that's mine! you copied it pixel for pixel off of mine!

(see the difference. borrwoed ideals mean nothing, or else the whole exsistance of art would break. like, a greek artist who started red-figure paintings would telll another artist trying to mimick the style "quit copying me")

the BG thing is also a bad example, because BG isnt claiming SFO as it's own, it is a FAN forum.

(im not entirely sure where your "borrowed" rant came from, i think it has something to do with windsrossa, no?)
