umm...just a tip, i didnt go to any formal education on arts but i learned my stuff through extensive observation

i dont buy comic books only for the story or plot, i buy them to carefully study the details on how a particular drawing is created

for example, i study if "this" drawing is drawn rapidly or carefully
i study if this drawing is done with careful details (like the curves on clothes, skin lines, etc...)
i study the different approach on how to draw an eye, either japanese/manga approach or american style (complete outline of the eyelid/eyeballs)
i study how the different styles on making costumes

overall, you wouldnt learn true art by undergoing vigorous schooling
its the desire and motivation that would drive you to learning
