The way super move cancels were done before in the versus series was one character on a team did a super move, and then when you did the motion for the next character's super move. The first one would stop and leap off while the next character lept on and started his/her super move. Limit two super moves per cancelling-thingie (gosh I sound smart).

Now THAT would work.
