Actually, you learn all you need to be a decently intelligent person by the time you finish 8th grade. Highschool is un-needed. After you finish middle school, you should be taken in with professionals and gone over what sort of field you should go into. It'd be interesting to see how it'd work, and it definitely would be rather 'shaky' at first, but you honestly don't need highschool. In fact, since I've been in highschool, I've taken nothing but college classes and the English/History/Science classes they make me take since I already took all the math stuff. And, in English classes, you don't really learn too many more things. The books you read don't affect you if you aren't interested in the given topics. Science is un-needed unless you're going into those fields, and History is usually a repeat of itself over and over aside from Gov't and Eco. Anyways, our current system is a bit of a waste in the money department, and it could definitely be re-done. I also agree with what many countries (like Germany) do. They force kids to take a year (it might be two; I forget) in the military. This is a great thing, for it helps others understand what the military is all about, get people who will be in the military a head start, and keep people in shape after school.
