What is the reason for you two fighting? If it's a sparring fight, then it's okay, but anything serious (that can potentially injure or kill someone), then the fight must cease. Anyways, if you are fighting, don't be afraid of him, even if he is taller or physically stronger; have courage. Make sure your reflexes are high, focus on his movements (it hurts when you are slow). Counter his attacks and attack him at the legs or ribs (but not too hard). Grappling is important too, if you can grapple well, then it makes your fights easier. Don't be flashy or careless or you'll get beat down and if you get hit hard, shake it off or he'll see you have gained a weakness. And remember, if you attack, don't leave yourself open to a retaliation (for example, if you throw a lunging punch and he dodges it, it'll be hard for you to recover and he has "all day" just to hit your open spot).
