[ooc]Fine then. I'll just go and continue on my own.[/ooc]
Akiko, who was almost blinded, decided that now was a bad time to try and sneak up on Asfahrn in the darkness. In fact, she decided that now would be the best time in history to start hiding behind pillars to avoid being struck by flying debris. Doing so, Akiko was just narrowly able to avoid being struck by what looked like a mahogony-based desk. If things kept up like this, the pillar would soon give in to the abuse as well. Then it would be all over...
----------------------------------------------------------
"Alkanet!"
"Yes?"
"Come in please; Dad wants to speak to you."
A tall, charmingly pale woman wearing an all black ensemble (Tight, leather pants, a t-shirt, pointed boots, and even a tiara) stood up from her sit in her just as black room. She walked through the darkness, and went through the door that wasn't even there. In doing so, she came to an area that looked like babies had taken over. Closing the door behind her, she walked to the other end of the room, and into another door. This continued for as many as 6 rooms (which were styled in odd themes as well), until she stopped in one room. A man, sitting in a chair while reading a letter, was in the room next to a woman who was also reading the letter with him. Dad and Mom; both looked very ordinary, compared to Alkanet. The man looked up at Alkanet.
Dad: "Alkanet, do you know where your brother Asfahrn went to?"
Alkanet raised an eyebrow.
"You mean he actually left his room?"
Mom: "Of course he did! He'd cooped himself in there for at least a month now, so he'd have to have gone out."
Alkanet: "Very true. but.. I think I know where he is, now that I know he left."
Dad: "Where, then, dear? Tell Daddy where Asfahrn is."
Alkanet: "He's at the City of Sand and Desert, Kirtsnechiez."
Dad: "What is he doing there?"
Mom: "I hope he's not doing anything stupid."
Alkanet: "Well, you could say that he is."
Mom: "How so?"
Alkanet took a seat in a chair. "Promise not to freak out?"
Dad: "No; go ahead and tell us what he's up to."
Alkanet: "Ok. Thing is, he's terrorizing the town, and is trying to go after --get this-- a starlet! The last remaining one that we don't know about! And she's a cute one, too.."
Dad: "Another starlet?"
Mom: "Oh, how lovely! We haven't found a 'stray' one in ages!"
Alkanet: "Well, yeah; you've kept track of every last starlet who left the country, and killed every one you could find, if you didn't enlave them. but how did she slip past? She seems pretty ordinary to me."
Dad: "Well, the thing is, that not all starlets are the same. Some of them can mask their starlet signature unconciously; which is probably why we couldn't find her among all of the magicians in the world."
Mom: "Then again, there was this one family, who had a small baby..."
Alkanet looked at Mom.
Mom: "When the baby was born, it was about 2 months away from when all the starlets fled their country to escape us and our kind. She would be the last Starlet to be known to be born. A month passed since then, and we were invited to come see the baby. I was thrilled; you know how much I love children. When I went to go see the child, however, it seemed that the mother wanted me to see if there was something wrong with her daughter; the father had died about a month before then because of an illness and battle wound. Anyway, I went in to see daughter, and it was a very strange sight to see. Her mother, a Brown haired, green eyed skinny woman with ordinary magic power, was very turned off by this.
The girl had already begun trying to move around, just like a genius; but at the same time, she was being a little clumsy. She fell after a few movements forward! She was such a little cutie... but that wasn't what worried the mother. You see, it seemed that this little girl had completely different hair color from both the mother and the father; no one in the family lines had the color either. It was blue hair, you see; a very nice shade, that went well with her skin. but her eyes... her eyes were very strange. They were golden in color! Yes, Alkanet, like an animals eyes. They were so golden, in fact, that looking into them would make the scene kind of sepia-toned. but when I examined her, there was nothing at all wrong with her: all bodily functions, and such other medical things were normal. Exceptional, even! Why, she had no allergies from what I could see, nor any deformities. And she had a voice that she kept trying to use: when she used it, it was as if she were trying to sing. Her voice was nice enough to be used for singing, that's for sure. but whenever she had "sang", everyone around kept feeling dazed, or got strange headaches, or became too overwhelmed with her voice, that they passed out on the floor. So, when that happened, I knew something was totally different about her. Not many people get a power that's enfused and activated by their voice! but when I told the mother that the daughter was perfectly alright, she seemed happy enough, so I didn't say anything about the power her daughter had. Don't think I needed to anyway."
Alkanet: "So what happened after?"
Mom: "Well, the mother invited me stay for some food and drink, but I refused. The truth was, I didn't want to stay and become attached to the family; especially not that child."
Dad: "Good thing too; as it seems, Asfahrn will be killing her within moments anyway."
Alkanet's eyes changed their expression for a split second before returning to normal.
"What if he doesn't kill her?"
Mom: "What?"
Alkanet: "What if Asfahrn fails to kill her? What will happen then?"
Dad: "If he doesn't, then we'll just have to 'discipline' the boy when he returns home. You know he always does, since everyone doesn't like his freak friends."
Alkanet: "I guess so..."
Mom: "Of course it is so. We made it that way; we will never, EVER let you children go....Not ever..."
Dad: "And don't you forget it, Alkanet."
Alkanet: "I won't.. don't worry. but is that all we needed to talk about?"
Mom: "Oh, no; there was just one more thing."
Alkanet: "Yes?"
Dad: "Did anyone else leave while we were sleeping?"
Alkanet: "No, everyone is still in their rooms, or inside the city doing the same, usual things."
Mom: "Alright dear, thank you so much for talking with us."
Alkanet stood up, smiled sweetly, and waved goodbye to Mom and Dad. Of course they'd never let anyone go: they were never their children, so they couldn't go with the false last names. She was just happy that at least one Starlet was smart enough to survive and flourish. Perhaps, if she was lucky and, she could find that small, velvet bag that used to be hidden in a box, waiting for the last living "####orn" starlet to go to it.
[ooc] Of course, if NO ONE ELSE posts in this rpg within a week, I'll just continue the fight on my own, while posting multiple posts, and using everyone elses characters to my disposal. So, don't worry if you don't post anymore; in fact, if you don't, I'll just go to another place, where more RPer's are, and continue it there. See if this rpg can really end, with or without its original characters.[/ooc]
