so your saying that only people who use the shotos fight fair?
i see it liek this. ppl who use mutants are the ones who need a crutch.
i feel that you cant compare the skill of a good shotoken fighter to anything else. especially those hardcore spidey users. shotos fight with more of a sense of flow. it almost starts to become a yin yang kinda deal. we use a wider variety of moves and learn how to apply them properly to situations. spidey users can just mash around on the keys and pull fights out their ass, its no real secret. everyone knows spidey can be pretty cheesy. i see no real technique there. pretty much everyone knows how to rock shotos anyway, i aint saying you gotta STRICTLY adhere to the shoto way or some poop. but for the most part i try to. sometimes maybe i will use 1 spidey to aide my akuma if i am fighting one of those hardcore spidey users.
when i think about the different advantages of the moves. i look at shotoken fighters. akuma shoots hadoukens at a n angle...he is the angular fighter. ryu shoots straight forward, his attack methods are more straight forward he is liek the samurai. and ken is like the vertical fighter. each of the three has their own uniue way of applying the uppercut and other forms of hand to hand combat. i personally prefer akuma. because i favor uppercuts in my fighting style. i dont just do repeated hadoukens and super hadoukens..i like to be a bit more unpredictable than that. and uppercuts do way more dmg.
now when you apply that theory to the wealth of poop that spidey has at his disposal. not only is he angular. but he pretty much can cover the entire screen with his web sting or whatever. and they can be thrown so fast in variables...causing insane amounts of dmg. think about all the angles spidey has at his disposal.
cyc|ops doesnt have to worry about ppl dodging his beam because it is instant, and if youcatch someone in the air witht he high beam u can juggle tthem with just that 1 move for like 75% of his health.
sent has the human cannon poop which is like a mini helper. but i am past calling him cheap. he is very slow and easy to corner rape with short uppercuts and spin kicks.
hadouken fighters are a bit more oriented with technique. using them is a better way to hone your skill. after using akuma for so long, all i had to do was know sp
