[quoteost_uid0="suckalot"]One being that no matter how many times I hit someone online(especially with super attacks) it does no damage at all. I don't see any block animations when I hit someone with a super and when I do I see them actually take a bit of damage as opposed to none. What's the trick here?

How comes pings(what I assume is the number at the top right near the middle means) get so damn high? Anyway to reduce the ping to sub 100's?

What's so special about beating someone 5 times? First game I played with someone called X skills X(or something like that) said he'd tell me how to tag in a guy and make me a v.i.p if I let him beat me 5 times. Then as rude as he said it was fghjlaz or something and left. Later on someone asked if he could let him beat me 5 times(after 3 games) and I just left assuming this was some trick to rank themselves higher by beating new people.

What's a good place to learn tricks and combos. I already read on the rules not to post combos but I'm only asking to get directed to a place that can tell me.

What's a good way to practice? In the other street fighters there were trainning modes where I could practice moves till I could get them down real well. In this I can't really see anything then storymode and online.[/quote]
 ..dang!
A well versed "first time poster"..it's amazing.

Well to answer some of your questions...

Why don't players take damage, you ask?
That is LAG,
The player either blocked the attack on their end of the game, or dodged it completely...or your opponent never recieved the data stating that you threw a super at them.

And the data that would have told your PC that your opponent blocked or dodged your super...was never recieved by your PC.
(the information got loss on the internet somewhere between you and your opponent )

Why is ping so high?
The game was designed to allow players with a 56k to play....so there are bound to be games where the ping is through the roof.
..but not all games will be like that.
I have seen some awesome sync's where the game is truly running 'real time'.
i/e: you hit your opponent, and they take the damage a few thousandths of a second later.

Whats so specail about beating someone 5 time?
..nothing...nothing at all.
You'll get better as you learn how the game runs on your PC with whatever ISP your using.
...everybody's game plays a little different then everyone elses because everyone owns different PC's and different internet connections.
It will just take you getting use to how the game runs on your system VS your opponents in order to get better.
(there are thousands of PC's/ISP/Set Up's vesus what you run...but you will eventualy begin to see the pattern of game play required to defeat an opponent, it just takes time and practice.)

Whats a good place to learn the moves?
Definetly gotta say that it's, http://nosoul4evr.cyberfuturism.com
...same website that supply's you the character moves found in the "Help" section of the game found on the "Main Menu"

Whats a good way to practice?
Go into "Story Mode", at the begining of the first match, press the #1 on your Keyboard.
You should hear the words "Mission Complete"
This will disable the computers AI, and allow you to practice against a motionless opponent.
Bare in mind that you can only shut the computers AI off during the first match....
In the second match you will have to fight the computer.
