It doesn't matter who we let into the Drunken Smashers... doesn't matter if they suck when they join. It matters if they can become a good player under our training. You can only find so many good players by searching the chat rooms for easily-recognized names. You need to do a little searching for those who have potential to become great fighters.
So, it isn't that we are bogging ourselves down with newbies or lame-assed players, it is that we are preparing them to be tomorrow's leaders of this online game. We take in anybody, and work to transform them into a somebody that people will jump to challenge when they enter the chat rooms. Skill is important, but the ability to pass on such skills is more important than anything else... what would happen if Gouken could not teach Ryu and Ken Shotokan martial arts? We would have no Street Fighter games.
I mean no disrespect with this comment, but some people are just so one-dimensional... they can never see things in another way. You look at those new members of the Drunken Smashers, and you would see potential, the potential to win, rather than the ability to win at the start. Everybody was bad at the game sometime, and had to learn the right way to play. I hope that people will give more consideration towards the motives of others before condemning their actions in the future. Thank you.
