You can't tell someone who thinks that homosexuality is a disease that it's not a disease, because them thinking it's a disease stops them from becoming homophobic. Yes, they're wrong; but we need to stop the fear for now, and I don't think that exposing people to true realities without letting them all wriggle into the realities on their own is very healthy.
