They were now walking, the little boy and Akiko, as they had literally no company now. As they walked, they began to talk to each other, and they introduced each other as well. As it turned out, the little boys name was Chris, and he was eight years old. The day after tomorrow would mark his first day of training, as he would begin to try and become a great Priro (a strength-bound sword master) like his father. However, something has happened to his father, just like the rest of the town, and right now, the boy was fearing for his mother and sister. Akiko reminded him, however, that they needed to escape first; then, and only then, would she return to see if his family was well.

Without any objections, the boy took off at his top speed again, to try and quicken the process of being able to find out about his family. Akiko, who was directly behind the boy, suddenly remembered that everyone was still at the gates. Immediately rushing past the boy at a much faster speed, Akiko ran as fast as she possibly could while she held onto the yelling Chris. Moments later, as she passed by a hair dressers shop, Akiko came to a screeching halt. Something had hit the ground as she was running, and it was now just a little bit behind her. Turning to walk in the other direction to see what hit the ground, Akiko hardly notice the sparkle that shined. However, Chris did notice, and running off without warning to investigate the sparkle, Chris disappeared into the streets without leaving so much as a trace for Akiko to follow.

Meanwhile, Akiko had found what had hit the ground. It had been a little ball, that just looked like an ordinary ball of crystal. There was nothing too suspicious about it, except about from where it came. It had to have come from above; from the rooftops of the buildings. Akiko turned around.

"Hey, Chris, I found what hit the ground! It was a..."
She stopped. She just noticed that Chris was gone, and that she was literally all alone. She wondered, for that small moment, how foolish she looked speaking to thin air. More importantly, she began calling out to Chris, to see if he would answer. There was no answer from him, though, and she just stared into the distance. She hoped that he was at least heading to the gates. Suddenly, Akiko stopped breathing and moving. Something behind her was moving around quite frantically, and she was afraid that it could be a villager. Turning quickly around, she saw nothing. Looking down, Akiko saw that the ball was moving back and forth continuously. Just at that moment, the ball released a grand light that engulfed the entire area within twenty feet of the ball.

After the light cleared, which was only a mere minute later, Akiko looked up at a particularly tall beast that looked like a Falcon with a human-like body. The only particular difference, was the fact that it was standing upstraight just like a human would, and the eyes had no pupils. Akiko backed up a little bit, and the Falcon turned his head toward Akiko. Leaping a long stride forward, Akiko fell into a roll to dodge a heavy claw that fell deep into the ground. Lifting himself slowly, the Falcon turned around again to face Akiko. It did not seem like Akiko was safe here anymore.
