It makes perfect sense. He wants to know which one we enjoy wathching more than the other.
Personally, I'd have to say DBZ, even though I don't watch it anymore. I really don't like Yu-Gi-Oh; I just can't get over the, "Lets use cards and holograms to solve all of our problems and not fight like real people!" thing ... pretty much like Pokemon, though Pokemon was still cooler.
