actually im not sure if someone already said this(because i didnt care to read thru it all) a goldfish doesnt have a memory of 3 seconds.
it was on mythbusters, they expiremented with a underwater maze for some goldfish. after a few days of testing the goldfish were able to remember which way to go to get food.
so thats more like an urban myth instead of a fact.
