"<span style='font-family:Lucida Handwriting'>Taenarushirabe..</span>!"
A small, but strong voice went through the air, and found its way to Udes' ears. Mind you, it wasn't the only thing that found its way to him. Only a mere moment after he heard the voice, something struck him on his back. However, after that split second of shock, he started to feel less pain all over. Was the pink light that he saw coming from behind part of this? For that thought, Udes decided to turn very quickly to see where the light was coming from.
Wasn't it a surprise when he saw little Akiko floating down from the tree engulfed in light pink colors. He watched her float down to the ground, and as she gently stepped onto the ground, he could have sworn that she looked a just little too content. In fact, she seemed to be perfectly calm, as she stepped quietly and peacefully to Rawks body. Remembering at this time that there were skeletons everywhere, Udes looked around to see where the other skeletons were.
Akiko, kneeling down to touch Rawk's face, kept her look of contentment. She moved slowly to Rawks ear, and her lips moved ever so close to them. When Udes turned to warn her of the upcoming skeletons, he saw her closeness to his face and blushed. Akiko, not hearing or noticing Udes, continued to do what she was going to do.
Her lips were almost touching his ear, when she finally whispered something into it. As she whispered, something white and whispy came out of her lips and encircled his body; how sanitary that really was something that escaped Udes' thoughts at this moment. However, Akiko was soon enveloped in a similar whispy white, and something was happening. Udes, though captivated by the sight, turned and decided to forget what was happening and just prepare to defend against the upcoming skeletons.
but before anyone (literally) knew it, Rawk was waking up. Rawk woke up to see Akiko enveloped in a white light and really close to his face. He dared not move to disturb this, but at the same time, memory of the past battle came to mind. He got up, surprisingly not hitting Akiko's head in the process, and noticed that he, too, had a white glow. but his glow was fading away, and with it, he noticed his wounds were fading too. He looked at Akiko, to see if hers would fade the same way too, but was surprised to see that the light just combined with her instead. Barely a minute later, he found himself looking at a girl that looked like she had been cut slightly on the face.
"Are you feeling better now, Rawk?"
Rawk felt his face after looking at Akiko's. That scratch on her face was about in the same spot where he was scratched. He was surprised to find that his scratch was gone.
"Yeah, I think I'm alright." said Rawk unsuredly. This really was a puzzling moment, when one couldn't even find a wound that they were sure was there.
"Well, Rawk, I need you to open the gate, ok?" said Akiko with a calm, but determined voice. "While you're doing that, I'm going to help fend off the bad guys, ok?"
"No!" objected Rawk. "You go open the gate, and I'll fight! I'm more suited to fighting!"
'but you can open the gate faster than I can because you're stronger. You have to do it, ok?" begged Akiko now. He had to admit that she was right, and that escaping as fast as possible was key. He nodded in agreement, but grabbed her arm before she could run to fight.
"As soon as the gate is open, run out and wait for me if I am not there already, ok?" asked Rawk. Akiko nodded her agreement, and waited for him to release her arm. She cleared her throat, and he finally realized what he was doing. With a blush, he let go of her arm, and they both went in opposite directions.
[Meanwhile, somewhere....]
"My, this place really is a battlefield now... I wonder who would waste their energy on such a town like this. It's not even worth my servants time..."
A woman, shrouded in black, stood on a light pole not too far away from where Akiko was. In fact, she turned her head to see little Akiko running her arm through the body of one of the skeletons. She smiled, amused, and watched Akiko fight.
"Perhaps this little 'starlet' is worth the trouble after all... kudos to whoever knew the last one was here."
A small giggle afterward, the woman disappeared into nowhere, only leaving behind one small pouch that glistened. It sparkled with the word "Hikaru" on it...
