well, i was depressed a lot when i couldn't find any job for the last 2 years... but i know how it is to have a depression even i didn't have it myself, for i have 3 friends who did one and ended up in hospitals for different reasons !

i'll tell you the same as i told them...
its hard to live after it, but you know gotta live, so th ebest thing to do is to try and hold on something you like, may it be music, video's, arts, or even video games !

so to answer, is music changing someone, yes it does !
depending on the music you'll listen to, your mood will change, everytime i hear my old cartoon musics, it makes me nostalgic and and happy. i even sing with the song !

but no, it doesn't change what kind of music you'll listen to just because your mood doesn't want it !
you listen to what you like, not to what you want to hear !
that even in bad situations !
