[quoteost_uid0="Endy"]One of my house-mates is trying to play SFO, and can't get it to work via our LAN. Being the resident geek I've been asked to fix it for him, heh.

Chat servers work fine (UNLESS 'behind a firewall' is turned on , but the game itself doesn't syncronise.

Can somebody tell me how the syncronisation works? If you challenge a player does SFO connection -out- to the port, or does the challenged player connect -in- on the port? Does it use TCP or UDP?

Anything that'll help. Thanks in advance.[/quote]
if you are behind a router/firewall you need to have old connection mode and only old connection mode checked...and if you are behind a router/firewall you can NOT host games at all...you can only join them..if your trying to challenge ppl then that's your problem why your not able to connect with others
